Seeds Institute of Research and Consultancy Africa (SiRCA) is looking for an Independent Researcher and or Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Analysing Key Budget Documents in the 2026/27 Budget Making Cycle to determine their Conformity with the provisions of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Peasants and Other People Working in Rural Areas (UNDROP)
From the analysis, propose key intervention areas to be included in the 2026/27 Budget Making Cycle to promote realization of the Rights enshrined in UNDROP.
Develop Draft Memos and or Petitions to be presented to the target Counties
4.Propose Key Technical, Legal, Legislative and Administrative Actions needed for proper Social Audit and Monitoring Implementation of the 2025/26 Financial Year Budget.
Perform any other role or assignments related to the Task as they may emerge including to conduct Targeted Training of Trainers and Development of Popular Training Materials

Should be Ready to work with minimum supervision
Must have Basic Training or Knowledge in Budgeting; Accounting; Procurement; Project Planning & Management; Petition & Memorandum Development and Or Have a Demonstrated Record in Participating in the Budget Making Process in the Target Counties. Having Both will be an added advantage.
Must Have a Demonstrated Knowledge in the Kenyan Budget Making Cycle including the Key Documents and Dates of Public Participation on the said documents.

Machakos, Nairobi, Baringo, Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Kakamega, Siaya, Kisumu, Homa Bay and Migori Counties
