SEED INSTITUTE OF RESEARCH AND CONSULTANCY AFRICA (SiRCA) is a radical space for People’s Researchers and Consultants across Africa with an activist approach to research with an aim of empowering the local community, or its representatives, to manipulate the higher-level power structures through evidence generated in collaboration with the people.
Founded in 2022, SiRCA Africa believes that everyone is a researcher & a consultant and therefore an integral part of People’s Research. People’s Research takes the form of Participatory Action Research (PAR) and is based on the fact that research is much more than just an academic, technical and a scientific effort. People’s Researchers have an emancipatory interest in improving human life. SiRCA Africa aims at understanding the Problems of Africa from a People’s Perspective and Analysis with an aim of improving the life in Africa by changing it.

SiRCA Africa is founded on the basis that the dominant model of research is exclusive and designed to create conditions for domination of Africa through generation of knowledge that is skewed to the global elite. SiRCA Africa therefore provides an Activist and a Radical platform for interested People’s Researchers who aim at deconstructing the dominant narrative of research through critical analysis of all treaties, agreements, covenants, declarations, policies and laws from national, regional, continental and international levels.
